ok my arms aren’t that tired. But boy! painting the kitchen cabinets takes some effort- time-wise. Things are looking good around here. As soon as the kitchen is done being gussied up, I’ll be able to post pictures. As it stands right now, my computer area is filled up with miscellaneous kitchen stuffs. After painting painting painting, we caught the last episode of Lost and now we’re off to bed.

side story (underneath)

We made a trip to Walmart midday to pick up clothes hangers and contact paper. We (except for Cory) were looking pretty shabby. Paint splattered, dirty, crazy haired. I thought it would be the perfect time to get our family picture taken. $4.99 for over thirty pictures. We could even use our purchases as props. I said we could use the pictures for our x-mas cards (I would actually send x-mas cards if I had something so funny to send) But, sadly, there was a line and we had cabinets to paint. So you’ll just have to imagine. It’s not as awesome, I know, but it will have to do.

In honor of the full and bright moon last night.

1. I didn’t lose any toes or other body parts. Nor, did I get impaled by flying sticks, while mowing/mulching the yard.

2. All but one teammate showed up for soccer practice.

three. Cory’s jacket was still there, when we went back to the comic book store after he’d forgotten it.

4. Singer/songwriter Brian Watson announced the release of his new single, “Man you smell good.” A song dedicated to his wife. (That’s me.)

5. I got Brian to work around the house after 8 pm. -whilst being pleasant!!!!

6. Danny found a new online game to test, called Rival Saga.

7. Cory’s Pokemon league was chock full of new players.

8. We settled on the color, and purchased the paint for the kitchen cabinets.

9. Danny got a goal in his practice game plus also got invited to a birthday party of one of his teammates.

10. I found out I can make mini-totes and they are freakin’ adorable!!!! (pictures to be posted later.)

There’s a fire that’s just waiting for fuel”

(I write this with a humble tone.) Cory, Danny and I started another garden today. We’re going “container” this time. Growing things in pots. In one of the sunny spots of our yard. Mostly we are in shade, and mostly we are glad we are, except when we want to try growing things. We planted lettuce, radishes, sunflowers, mesclun, basil, broccoli, and onions. It would be awesome if this garden was a success. I’ll post pictures if things go well, and pretend this post never happened if it doesn’t.

I did love his books. Franny and Zooey was my favorite.

Salinger

Author J.D. Salinger dies at the age of 91 -.

I got a letter in the mail the other day from my friend Mitzi. Besides it being a wonderful letter it was on some lovely stationary. Of course I wanted to write her back, but I do not have sweet papier! So, I tested Cory’s new colored pencils and made do- as we say around here. While I was at it, I “made do” for Jeanie, Amy and Tracey too. I not only feel satisfied in sending less than bland, not on loose leaf pages greetings to these wonderful people. I also managed to use two more “ideas” from Laura’s Idea Book! What’s more awesome than that?

*note the poppies and the sunflower are sideways I am too tired to wrestle with my computress.

As it turns out, it was wear your funny shirt to work day……Brian was the only one who got the memo.
