“Morning, baby. How’d you sleep?” Brian greets me this morning.

“Good. You?” I reply.

“Good.” He says, “Did the commotion wake you up?”

“What commotion? The duck quacking? I heard it, but it didn’t wake me up.”

“No, not the duck. Was the duck quacking? I didn’t hear that. I was busy dealing with the squirrel on the back porch.” He tells me. “Man! The dog was freaking out. And this squirrel was all over the porch. It just couldn’t figure out how to get out the door…and the dog was chasing it…it kept…it would climb up things and fall. Oh Man! I’m surprised it didn’t wake you up.”

Ha ha ha! How many people have days that start with squirrels in their porch. Not enough, is my figurin’.
