We here at Wats-Co would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest team members, McKitty (Miniature Cow Kitty) and Awww (as in Awww she’s so cute). It’s been a while since we’ve had a feline department and it brings us great pleasure to welcome such adorable KITTENS!
We got two kittens. They are so dang-durn cute. Will post pictures tomorrow when they are awake and more likely to not hiss at me or scratch my lens.
Friend Denise just got back from trip the Europe (England-France-Italy) and every time she said Champs Elysees I thought of this song. Ugh! I long to go to France!!!!!
I spent the day with friend Denise in St. Augustine. We went to the winery- San Sebastian’s and did the wine tasting thing, very fun. Then we headed to the walking shopping area and tried to get cookies at The Bunnery but, they were closed by the time we got there. Such a bummer. Never mind that though, the magic pizza fairies blessed us with pizza samples and so we were enticed inside pizzeria where we discovered yummy pizza and very enjoyable Crosby Stills and Nash-ish musicians playing nice folk type music while we ate yummy pizza in the open air. After all that niceness we window shopped and walked and talked. Made penny wishes in fountain. Finishing up the day with a stop at the beach to dip our tootsies in the water and marvel at the greatness of the ocean. Only to drive home heading into one of the most amazing bright beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in a while. Oh yeah that was awesome! Double awesome plus- that’s D’awesomus so you know- I’m now drinking down some tasty Vinter’s Red from the winery. Goodnight!
After a week off, we are back to the the show for the weekend. Our leading lady hurt her arm (broke her elbow actually) sometime this week, so there was major concern about her hurting herself further. Although, I know she was in pain, it never once showed. She’s really amazing. I probably would have spent the whole night crying. (“Give me more percocet!!!!!”) It was our first night back and it was fun. The kids danced amazing again! Brian was fantastic again. And I am here to write about it….again.
Better perhaps than that, was on the way home from the show we stopped for some beer and chips to go with our late-night Glee watching (beer for me chips for the kids…and me). I was still in make-up and my funky-cute zip up dress and as I’m waiting in line to check out, some half wasted man-person behind me says, “I forgot my ice-cream.” (Not talking to me.) Then he says, “Are you part Indian?” (To me.) I politely smile and say, “No, I’m in a show at the Art Center.” To which he replies, ” I thought you looked familiar.” We here at Wats-Co will now be adding, “Are you part Indian?” to our classic quotes. The response will always be, “I forgot my ice-cream.” We think it’s that awesome. We’re just not sure why.
Even though we are not successful gardeners, yet. We do have friends who know what they’re doing when it comes to growing food stuff. They do it so well in fact, that they sometimes have enough to share. And thank blog for that! Today our friend Karen, of Gil and Karen shared with us some of her amazingly wonderful cherry tomatoes. Happy happy happy. Cuz, they’re not only super, solo. They’re super-plus-awesome when salsa’d. That, for the record, would be.. splawesome. I heart salsa. The end.
We’re free! for a few days anyway. Well, after our first weekend of live shows we now have a few days off to pretend we’re normal again. It’s really been a blast being a part of this show. There are times when I feel this sort of, “oh man what have I gotten myself into” sort of sensation, but all in all it’s been a really amazing experience. Now we have a few days off, I hope to do things like laundry and vacuuming… cook dinner and wipe down the bathrooms. Ok, that’s not true. I don’t want to wipe down the bathrooms. I just have to.
Yard work, house work, and trips to the library….here we come!
