Not around here! Our niece Robyn spent the night, which made wiggle room for the boys to have the day off from school work. This of course freed me up to do other projects- not to mention that Robyn loves getting crafty- so we did! She taught me how to finger weave. So we made skinny scarves while watching episodes of Hannah Montana Forever and Looney Toons. (Mine was green and hers was multi-blue confetti.) After that we painted happy hopeful words and images on the bunting for the yard. Meanwhile, Danny made new foam swords and a duct tape cardboard weapon holder. Cory, read and played on the computer. Most excellently, my Everyday Food magazine came in the mail and I tried a new recipe. Whole wheat brownies. YUM! Seriously. I didn’t tell anyone (except Brian) that they were whole wheat. Or that they had lower sugar, that is they were made with brown sugar and applesauce. They were a hit. I assisted Robyn in her first tote sewing experience. Woohoo! Hopefully the first of many. And we finished the day with totally delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. (I did one experimental sand.- Feta cheese, tomato and capers. I liked the tom.+feta, gonna skip the capers next time.) Oh man. I don’t really see how tomorrow can live up to today……Nah! I’m just kidding. Life just keeps getting better.
